Growing is Hard

Hey, friends!  It's been much too long.  We had a wonderful end to our Oklahoma trip.  We were lucky enough to get to see all of the cousins this time and enjoyed every minute with Nana and Papa.

Rosie and Kamryn

The Gang

Rosie loves Uncle Shane

So good to see Vivi and Xander

We got the huge treat of having Mark's mom drive back with the girls and me to North Carolina.  We had hours of quality time (14 hours of drive time, to be exact) with Memaw and she was so helpful with the girls and with the driving...a true Godsend.

Memaw and Rosie...The one and only picture I got of them during their visit.  :(

Mark's dad drove up at the end of the week and the girls were so excited to see him.  On Sabbath, we went to Hendersonville Church to see David and Elizabeth and we were able to get the sweetest picture of all of the kiddos.

We went over to their house for a wonderful lunch and then headed back home to pack for our very first overnight trip away from kids in almost four years.  Mom and Dad Murrill had offered to watch the girls for a couple of days for us to go, and we gladly accepted.

We drove down to Greenville, South Carolina and had so much fun.  We stayed right downtown at the Westin Poinsett and were able to walk to all of the restaurants, shops and parks.  It was perfect.  I had forgotten how nice it was to eat out without kiddos and to fall asleep and wake up to no responsibilities!        We found some of the best restaurants.  The only bad thing was the crummy weather, although we didn't mind being stuck in the room:)  TMI?

On the drive down

We went on lots of long walks, many of them in the rain.

This was our first experience with the double shower head.  I'm a fan.

We saw a matinee.

We had some really amazing veggie burgers.

Another example of an amazing veggie burger.

Eating some really, really good ice cream.

So good, in fact, that we had it three times in three days:)

They have these special machines that mix in whatever you like.  I stuck with almonds and heath bar.  The perfect amount in every bite.  If you're in the Greenville area, you should try, Spill the Beans Coffee and Ice Cream.

The falls were nuts after all the rain!

We had such an amazing time, but it was so nice to get back to our little ladies.   Mom and Dad Murrill left on Tuesday and we were so sad to see them leave.  We've had some good doses of time with both of our parents in the last few weeks, and that makes my heart happy.  I love that the girls are so close to both sets.

Here are a few pictures from this week...

We've been a little busy over here, and I have to admit my mind has been all over the place.  Mainly because of this...

I know it sounds crazy, but we put our house up for sale, and it sold.  Since moving here, we've really regretted not having more land and seclusion.  Our neighbors are SOOOOO close and we've yearned for more privacy.  With that being said, we really didn't think it would happen so quickly and now we have two months to find somewhere else to live.

This whole scenario has me a little on edge.  We put an offer on an amazing house, and sadly, it didn't work out, so now we are on the hunt.  All my free time is spent scouring the internet for homes, and we do A LOT of driving around looking for the perfect place.

It's hard to remain hopeful, when you feel like you've looked at every possible home in your price range.  We did happen upon this little gem when driving around, so I guess I can't give up all hope:)

So, any way, we could really, really use your prayers right now.  We did put an offer on another property tonight, but I'm trying not to get too excited, because my heart was pretty broken the last time.  I know the Lord is taking care of our little family and he will lead us to the absolute perfect place.  I just have to let Him do His thing, in His time.  That's always been a struggle of mine, but I know He uses times like these to grow us and now is as good of a time as any to start that growing.
