Chicago Trip

Mark had some meetings a few weeks back in Chicago, and we realized the timing was perfect for us to all tag along.  I hadn't been back to Chicago since moving to North Carolina, and was excited to get back and visit the people we love there.  The girls did really well on the trip and we, of course, found a route that would let us stop at a Tijuana Flats:)  I must say, it was well worth the extra time.

We stocked up on our favorite Tijuana Flats sauce.  SO GOOD!

We had such an amazing time with Mike and Melissa.  They were wonderful hosts and treated us like royalty.  The kids loved being reunited.  It was so sweet to see them play together.  It was as if they had never been apart!

They loved playing in the pool together.

We set outside and watched the kiddos play.  I got a kick out of the fact that the table's shadow made it look like I was wearing fishnet stockings.

Two peas in a pod, or rather, two cousins in a pool.  Pretty much the same thing.

Another set of peas.

I love this picture!

Poor Mason had a fight with the wall and the wall won.  I was honored to accompany him and Melissa to the ER for him to receive his first staple in his head.  What a brave guy and what a cool outfit.  I love that little man!

They are a lot alike.

When you are at a house of boys, dress-up looks a little different, but it's just as much fun.

The only picture of me from the trip.  Mark took it as we were driving.

Something huge happened while we were in Chicago...Rosie is now a bike rider without training wheels.  She was a little hesitant, but once she got it, she was sold!  So proud of her.

I didn't get any pictures of Melissa, but we had such a great time.  The guys had two golf outings together, so they let us take a day to go shopping, and we used that day to the very fullest.  I mean, we didn't walk in the door until after 10:00 pm.   Lots of fun and lots of purchases.  What a treat!

We can't wait until our next visit!
