It was another rough night last night and I woke this morning knowing that I wasn't getting any better, but worse. As I laid in bed, I started trying to wrap my mind around how I was going to muster the energy to get through the day, when out of nowhere Mark said, "Steph, you don't look so good. I think I should stay home and help you today." I kid you not, I nearly cried. In fact, I did a little bit. It was the best Valentine's gift he could have gotten me. The sexiest words I could have ever heard.
Mark's a pretty great stay-at-home dad. He did an amazing job taking care of the girls, while I rested. I am ever so thankful for his help. Did I mention he also spent the morning trying to find a doctor who would see me? Who knew it would be so hard! He finally had to call a friend with connections, who got me an appointment this afternoon. It turns out I have pneumonia. I'm so glad to know what's wrong and so, so, so glad to have medicine to help. I have a follow-up appointment on Friday, so hopefully, I'll be doing a lot better by then.
So, anyway, that's what's going on over here.
They made me wear this in the waiting room, just in case I had the flu. If you don't want anyone to sit near you, wear one of these.
