Our Summer So Far!

Well, I've gotten a few gentle reminders that I haven't been blogging.  Don't think I didn't remember.  It's been on the back of my mind at all times.  But, I'm not going to make promises anymore.  I truly want to keep up with it, but life really does seem to get in the way.  There's been quite a bit that we've done in the last month or so.  I can't remember everything, but going through pictures helped jog my memory a little.  I'll break this up into parts, so the pics won't be too overwhelming.

We've done a lot of park visiting...

Rosie sang at Church for the new building Dedication program...

Lots of dress-up...

Laura Ingalls and Superwoman...slow dancing.

And Dress Down...

Some kite flying at the park...

She seems enthused, huh?!

Experienced a fluke hail storm...

I've worked on my braiding...

Spent a day in Black Mountain...

There was a fresh spring that people fill huge jugs of water with.  We only had a water bottle, but it tasted amazing!

Ate lots of yummy foods...

Spinach Marinara Balls

A new favorite!  Caprese French Bread

Quinoa Vegetable Soup

We said goodbye to sweet friends...

Ran a 5k...

Kiki talked about this chicken for weeks.  She literally fell in love, to the point that it made the chicken uncomfortable.  (Note the chicken's distance.)

Practiced our tennis skills...

We played in our new pool...

Had fun nights with friends...

This was a lucky night.  I found $50 on the ground, so I treated everyone to ice cream at Kilwins!

Went to the zoo with some friends...

Poor Lathan!  The only boy in a sea of girls.  He didn't seem too upset;)

We've done a lot of outdoor projects and playing...

We've also done a lot of relaxing...

It's been a great summer so far!  Next time, I'll share pics from our trip to Chicago, our visit from Mom and Dad Murrill and our 4th of July trip to a cabin in Gatlinburg.  See you soon...hopefully:)
