I Love Donuts

It was National Donut Day on Friday and I celebrated...boy, did I celebrate.  Jackie invited Maria and I over for coffee and McFarland's donuts and they were oh-so-good.  What is it about eating bad stuff with other people that makes it fun?  It was fun, to say the least.  We also shellac-ed our nails, which wasn't the best idea with seven kids running around, but we somehow got it done and I'm happier for it.

The weekend has flown by.  Yesterday, besides continuing the celebration of donuts, we took the girls to Beaver Lake in Asheville for a walk.  It wasn't as user friendly as we anticipated, but it was still beautiful and we had a great time.  After naps, we headed to the Guyton's for homemade pizza and sundaes.

Mark was gone a lot of today.  He played golf in the morning with Alan and then he ran a mud run as part of a team for work.  We took the girls to the park and on a walk when he got home.  We also went to the grocery store.  I'm sorry I feel the need to share such unimportant details but, what can I say, that was our weekend.

I've been feeling crafty lately, but everything I've tried to make has failed miserably.  I tried to make a front door wreath from a picture I saw on Pinterest, but things did not turn out how I planned.  I went ahead and put it up, but I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to make it look better.  Any suggestions?

The girls are doing well.  Kiki has now learned to stand without holding anything.  In fact, she stood right up in the middle of the room yesterday without any assistance.  She's still not walking yet, and I'm okay with that.  Rosie is full of silliness.  If I wasn't so tired I would write some of the funny things she's said this week.  It'll have to wait until next time.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We're watching We Bought a Zoo and surprisingly, it's really good.  Night!

The wreath is so cute! I would add some color though (you know I love color), maybe make the numbers brighter or add a second color to the "M". Just an idea. I'm glad to see all is well with you and the rest of the crew.
