Stephanie Homemaker...not so much

Guess what!!!  I sold my desk this afternoon.  One thing down, tons more to go.  Someday we will be able to park in the garage...someday.  I sold it for a little less than I had hoped, but I really can't be upset.  I found the thing on the side of the road in Chicago, so besides the paint and the decoupage, it was pretty much a 100% profit.

In other news, I just ordered the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels off of Amazon.  I'm pretty excited about it getting here.  I have two friends that have used it and loved it.  I really like that it is only 20 minutes.  I need something short, but worth my time and it seems that Jillian knows a little about what she is talking about and has a show to prove it.  I hope to do that on the days that I don't go to the gym.

I forgot to show you the shoes I got for Rosie last week...

Aren't they cute?  I know they aren't a dead ringer for Tom's, but they are pretty near close.  She loves them, too.

I made that recipe I mentioned earlier.  I really thought I had all of the ingredients, but I realized too late that I didn't have any cannellini beans.  I went ahead and made it anyway.  If you like pesto, I think you would enjoy it.  It definitely wasn't our favorite pasta in the world, but I would probably make it again.  Monroe loved it, which was a bit surprising.  She does seem to have a thing for broccoli right now.  Anyway, here's how it turned out...

I would like to show you something that makes me feel like less of a woman every time I use it...

Yes, it is a mini food processor.  If you can't tell, it's about the size of my camera.  I've had it since we got married and I use it pretty often, but every time I pull it out I feel like I'm not quite domestic enough.  I cringe if another woman visiting my home asks to use my food processor and I have to give them that. I really need the full size food processor to feel more like a 30 year old wife and mother.  The bigger the kitchen appliance, the bigger the woman, I guess.

Wouldn't it be nice if at your 10 year anniversary you could re-register for stuff like that and people would get it for you?!  Kind of a, "Hey, good job on marriage!" celebration.  I really didn't know what I was registering for when we got married.  I just took the gun around and scanned stuff that looked good, not even contemplating what I would do with it.  That's probably why I have about 15 pyrex casserole dishes, 12 pie plates, 2 different kinds of juicers that have never been used and 4 ice scream scoopers.  What was I on?  I do love a good casserole, but I've never needed more than two dishes at a time.  I'm not a baker and I've never juiced...not once.  I do love ice cream, so I guess that one wasn't a total failure on my part, although, one scooper will usually do it.  I must have thought that as soon as I got married, something would click and I would become Susie Homemaker.  I'm still waiting...
